In the RnDAO fellowship program, I focused on the problem of compensation in early stage teams. This research resulted in this paper.
Compensation in early-stage teams
After the research, I’ve defined a solution that fits all the recommendations in the paper, and can now be built using web3 technology.
Collabberry aims to solve the problem of compensation in early stage teams by:
Collabberry is a web3-based compensation platform designed to simplify the process of determining fair salaries and measuring value within early-stage teams. It utilizes peer-to-peer (p2p) assessment, allowing team members to evaluate each other's contributions and allocate compensation accordingly. Here's a breakdown of its key components:
All of this is built into one dashboard where it can be easily managed by admins and used by contributors.
After the fellowship program, the ideas have been tested enough in my view. The way that the project will be built is to follow its model since day one, and be public about the successes, failures and experiences. The initial stage of building will be focused on the trickiest pieces, that need to be further tested, and the outcome of this initial building stage - a proof of concept, which can be shown as a demo to potential users. This way we can dynamically collect feedback and address potential problems. Next stage would be to build the full MVP.
